This injection mold is specifically designed for producing coffee pot handles using glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene (GFPP), a material known for its high strength but also its abrasive properties.  To counteract wear and tear caused by GFPP, critical components of the hot runner system and cavity are made from premium wear-resistant materials, ensuring the mold's durability and long service life.

The mold features a zoned heating-controlled hot runner system equipped with high-precision temperature controllers. This setup minimizes temperature fluctuations, preventing fiber accumulation or clogging. The gate position and runner design have been optimized to reduce material stagnation, ensuring a smooth and efficient molding process. A needle-valve gate system is used to enhance the appearance of the finished parts, minimizing visible fiber patterns. Additionally, the mold cavity surfaces are mirror-polished to achieve a refined finish and prevent surface defects such as floating fibers.

To ensure precise alignment and smooth operation during mold opening and closing, the mold incorporates high-precision guide pillars and bushings. Venting channels have also been carefully designed to eliminate trapped air, avoiding common defects such as voids or burn marks.
